The Manteling
Domburg borders the Manteling nature reserve. The trees with their sometimes bizarre shapes are striking. These trees can be seen in some of Piet Mondrian’s works. In Terra Maris museum, located at Kasteel Westhove, you can learn more about the Manteling.
The beach
Of course, the beach! Domburg’s beach is one of the top 15 most beautiful beaches in Zeeland. The wide beach extends all the way to Westkapelle and is known for its characteristic groynes, beach cabins and mundane atmosphere.
The ‘Zeeuwse licht’
Domburg is a source of inspiration for artists such as Piet Mondrian and Jan Toorop. They descended on the ‘Zeeland light’. In the Marie Tak van Poortvliet Museum, you will get to know the artist colony that experienced its greatest flowering in Domburg in the 19th century to the early 20th century.
Active in nature
Rain or shine, there is plenty to do in the surrounding area! Walking, cycling, but of course also beach sailing, supping, water-skiing and kiting. With so much coastline, the wind is always right somewhere!

Events
There is much to discover in Domburg and the surrounding area.
- In season (6 May to 23 September), there is a market in Domburg centre every Monday between 10:00 and 19:00.
- There are several events in Domburg and the surrounding area in the coming period. For example, the Zeelandjazz festival on 14 June in Middelburg.
- The Zeeland Nazomer Festival from 23 to 31 August. Then you can enjoy theatre, dance, music and other performances all over Zeeland every day.
